Edit agencies

Edit agencies is a key function of PCS since the user can add/remove an agency's access from the dossier. Generally, the edit agency feature is available for the leading agencies (Applicant, IM, RFC) and they can change the agency settings. This guide will show how to work with the "Edit agencies" function. For further information about the meaning and definition of the different kind of agencies please check the linked documents.

Edit agencies for Applicants

Let's check the baseline before editing the agencies. The user can find this information in the basic data dossier segment:

Edit agencies on territories

If the user of the leading Applicant like to update the responsible Applicants on particular territories, he should go to the Basic Data and change the Applicant via the Edit Agencies option. Apart from the trivial, meaning, the leading Applicant can select new partner With this option, the leading Applicant can place himself/herself temporarily as responsible for that territory. It can help a lot to edit a territory outside of his/her original territory in the Harmonization phase. After the editing of the dossier is done, it's possible to put back the formerly selected Applicant.

Permissions: The edition can be performed in Open and Harmonization phases. After the user performs the changes, he should save it and PCS will automatically adjust the Applicant - IM pair structure in the basic data.

What else can be done with edit agencies?

  • Change of the leading Applicant
  • Remove Applicant agencies
  • Change production related acceptance indicator
  • Add/remove production-only Applicants
  • Add/remove service agencies
  • Add/remove production agencies

After the changes are done, e.g. new service agency was added to the dossier, the new agency will find the dossier on his Dashboard when the dossier reaches Harmonization.

Edit agencies for IMs

Similar to Applicants the changing leading agency is also possible for the IMs.

You can see on the picture that the leading IM was changed.

Edit agencies for RFCs

In the case of overlapping sections between two RFCs, it is necessary to define the responsibilities and the participating RFC. During the creation of PaP dossiers, the Excel importer provides this possibility, however, it is available later in the system too. RFCs can use edit agencies to define participating RFC in a PaP.
