Please read below the step by step instructions or watch the following video to get familiar with adding PaPs to an existing dossier or how to create dossier adding PaP first:
Add PaPs to an existing dossier in Harmonization
Create dossier with starting PaP selection
Once the user has found the needed PaPs through the PaP Search option (for further information on how to "Search for Products" click the link to get more information), they can be added to a new or to a current, existing dossier. Now, we are familiar with how to search for various products and use the PaP search window. When adding a PaP to a dossier the button label changes depending on how we have started to add our PaP to a dossier. There are two ways to add PaP to a dossier:
- creating a new dossier starting with PaP selection or
- adding to an existing dossier.
When the user creates a new dossier adding a PaP first and starting the dossier creation from the PaP Search window ( go to "Pre-constructed Products" top menu > and select "PaP Search" submenu) then it needs to select the appropriate PaP first by ticking the checkbox in the first column and then click to "Add selected to a new a dossier" button to add it to the new dossier.

Note: if there is no PaP selected then the "Add selected to the new dossier" button remains faded. Once at least one PaP is selected the button becomes available.
The user can add more PaPs to the dossier at the same time. Also important to keep in mind that when a PaP is added to the path sections or added as path sections can only be edited and removed by leading Applicant in Open phase or by responsible Applicant in Harmonization phase.
See below the step by step instructions on how to add PaP or PaPs to an existing dossier: open an existing dossier > Go to "Applicant Timetable" > Select territory where you want to add the PaP > and click to "Add PaP" button. The same PaP Search window opens as when starting to create a dossier adding PaP first.
Note: Multiple PaP can be used in one territory as long as they belong to the same Applicant - IM pairs responsibility!

The availability of the "Add PaP" button is dependent on the phase and the user agency type. If the user belongs to a passenger agency then the PaP Search option will not show any result, the following message will appear: "No results matched to your search". Regarding the phases, the same rule applies to edit and customize PaP as mentioned above: "can only be edited and removed by leading Applicant in Open phase or by responsible Applicant in Harmonization phase"!

The adding PaP wizard window contains the following steps:
- Reorder PaPs
- Sub Paths
- Train Parameters
- Calendar Preferences
- Basic Data (Only shown if we are creating new dossier from PaPs)
Reorder PaP
Once the PaP selected the wizard window opens. In the "Reorder PaP" step provides the possibility to reorder and reposition the added PaP or PaPs to the correct order.

Also, in case we were selecting the PaPs to a new dossier, only the two PaP sections will be shown and not the dossier operation points.
By default, the PaPs are shown at the bottom of the screen. The red arrows in the picture show the possibility to position the two PaP sections, at the beginning or any point in between the existing dossier operation points.
Sub-Path
Once we have ordered properly our PaPs we can confirm the order and go to the "Sub-path" step where we can define the further geography of the train route. We can customize our timetable add/remove stations, define arrival/departure times, etc.. See screenshot below:

When we finished defining our route then click "Continue" and we can move to the next step to "Train parameters".
Train Parameters
In the "Train parameters" step we continue to fill the common train parameters on the PaP operation points. We can see that some of the parameters, such as loco type, train weight, train length, and traction max speed have been already pre-filled. If we know the same locomotive published in the neighboring countries we can change the loco type number to run the same locomotive in both countries. Now we may define the weight, and length of our carriages.

Save our work and continue with the next step to "Calendar Preferences".
Calendar Preferences
In "Calendar Preferences" you can define the train running days.

In the above picture, all days are selected by default. The next important move is to click on "Check availability" which allows you to check PaP availability days. Above the button, you can see a detailed description and colour code for the unavailable days in the calendar.

Let's see an example when not all days are available for the selected PaP. PCS indicates a warning message at each operation point where the PaP is unavailable:

In the case of a new dossier adding PaPs first, PCS indicates the unavailable days with a gold colour in the timetable. In both cases, if the calendar is corrected the message disappears. Continue to click "Show Preview" where the timetable previews loads.

Finally, save the dossier and the selected PaPs will be added to the dossier.
Let's use another PaP for presentation purposes to show how does it look like when for the selected PaPs the days are not available. When defining the running days in the "Calendar preferences" you may notice that the system allows a selection of running days regardless of their availability.
Timetable Preview
Moving forward to "Timetable preview" the system checks the PaP running days availability and creates a sub-path to cover running days that are not available in the PaP. It copies the original request and offers a tailor-made solution only on the affected territory.

Click Save to finish adding PaP or PaPs to a dossier.
